Hello!! I like Warrior Cats and live in Japan! Introduction

Hello everyone! I am a foreigner from America living in Hiroshima city. I learned just yesterday that there is a new Japanese fandom for Warrior Cats. I have been a fan of Warrior Cats since I was a child (now 25 years old). It is difficult for me to explain to Japanese people around me about Warrior Cats, including my Japanese husband. I'd like to be able to talk about it. I do not know if English is not allowed on this forum... If it isn't I apologize. You can post in Japanese or English if you want to. I'd be really interested in knowing what Japanese people think about the series and would like to talk. I drew this profile picture just now in MS Paint, it's Blue✦Star. I always thought she was really pretty! I hope I can talk lots about cats with someone.

I found this forum page yesterday by trying to research about the people who made the "Little Cry of The Abyss" MAP. The description saying it is the first MAP made by Japanese people is easily believable. I think people always wanted Japanese people to be interested in Warrior Cats but I guess it just never became popular. There are Chinese people who made animations of Warrior Cats since the beginning of the fandom with Japanese songs in the background, and other people who try to draw the cats mimicking the Japanese anime style.

I am really trying my best to explain to my Japanese husband what Warrior Cats is, but it is difficult. He says that there are too many cats and it is easy to get confused haha. I do not know if you know, but there is a different series from America called My Little Pony and it uses a similar naming scheme (Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash), and my husband says it's easier for him to remember the characters because they all have "cutie marks" (symbols on the sides of their back legs). And Luna from Sailor Moon is memorable because she has a crescent moon on her head. He jokes that maybe all the cats should have a symbol too haha.

Why is there this new Japanese fandom that seemed to have started in 2019? I heard things about the Japanese translation of Warrior Cats being a little bad and literally translating the names (example I see people talk about is "Faipaiyo"), but it seems everyone is using the English name here. Is everyone reading about the English version? Is there a good website for my husband to read in Japanese to learn about English Warrior Cats?

By the way, wish there was a Ciao Churu Warrior Cats MAP where people draw the different cat characters reacting to churu.

In Japanese warriors,English names are used.
日本のウォーリアーズでは、英語の名前が使われています。

For example,we call Firestar,Faiasutaa.
例えば、私達はファイヤスターをファイヤスターと呼びます。

So,we use English names for our own characters.
なので、私達は私達自信のキャラクターなどに英語の名前を使います。

Wow, I didn't know about this bird! Common murre look almost like flying penguins, really cute! They also remind me of puffins a bit. I wish I could see one someday. I really like studying animals (one of my favorite video games is Zoo Tycoon 2 for the PC, I also like Kemono Friends haha). I wonder, how did you get the books in English? Do they sell them in the bookstore somewhere, or are you reading the pdf online? I haven't even seen the official Japanese version of Warrior Cats in the Japanese bookstores, but maybe I didn't look close enough.

Nice to know they use the English names in the official translation by the way. I guess I got misinformation from some English Reddit posts. Do you consider the official Japanese translation to be any good and something I could recommend my husband to read?

I use online Kinokuniya bookstore when I buy warriors in English.

In Japan,warriors is not known so.
日本では、ウォーリアーズはあまり知られていません。

I often warriors in Japanese see in the libraries.
私はよく日本のウォーリアーズを図書館で見ます。

But the libraries have warriors in Japanese are not a lot.

If you want to get Japanese warriors,you check websites for example Amazon,or how about order in bookstores. I think You can found warriors by searching of bookstores websites for example,TSUTAYA.

Thanks for the information, I'll check out those bookstores online! Right now I am showing my husband fanmade Warrior Cats episodes online. Do you know the SSS Warrior Cats project made by BadAsi? I watched it when I was a child. The team who made it are Chinese people but the episodes are in English (with Chinese subtitles also... and music from DN Angel and Naruto haha). It only has 3 episodes and is a little wonky but it is still fun to watch. It was made during the time when people imagined a Japanese anime of Warrior Cats lol... I also like the parody series made by Bok Bok Choy. Comparing it side by side is fun.

I only discovered a few days ago my first time seeing a Japanese person draw Warrior Cats, the user NekoGokoro who also was a participant in the Little Cry of the Abyss MAP. It's interesting to see all the cute art styles in that animation! I can talk about my favorite parts of it. The scene where she gets attacked by the Dark Forest cat and it shifts to the car and the badger was really cool (the part by FauxNaifSable). I liked the part where she is floating in the abyss and looking at her paws and reflecting life (the scene drawn by Lenon). The art style of Pu-Neko was really cute! Overall, I pretty much think everything was good. I'd like to be able to talk about this and other Warrior Cats videos!

I have visited Hiroshima once. In 2018. I visited the bomb dome,Hiroshima peace memorial museum,Hiroshima castle,and Miyazima Island. Do you think about the dome? I visited Nagasaki this summer. I learned about the atomic bombs a lot. I often hear that the U.S. helped Japan by the bombs. I'm sorry to write something dark and bad for this place like this. But,I want to know your opinion.

About Hiroshima, my husband occasionally drives by the dome. I do not want to look at it at all... it is just scary and hurts my eyes. I don't like thinking about the pain and suffering... So I don't look at it. It really is a huge tragedy. Well, it's the past. Hiroshima has many fun places. I like to go to Marina Hop for example, it's a shopping area near the boat docks and it is pretty and has a light show called the Digital Art Road. There's the used shop Lepton that I like to go to that has lots of interesting games and accessories. I've been to the castle and Miyajima and they were fun and interesting too.

I saw Iwakuni castle,Hagi castle, Kintai Bridge,and Meirinkan there. In Hyogo,I visited Himeji castle. They were very interesting. I have used Kansai international airport and Itami airport,but I didn't do anything in Osaka.
I was surprised to look at the words of pizza vending machines. I didn't hear such vending machines. I want to Hiroshima again someday, however, I live in Hokkaido. So far! And I'm 15 years old,Skylight is same great,so I can't visit around Japan easily.

Thanks so much! I drive by Himeji Castle, it is very pretty at night. Kobe is one of my favorite cities, I love the beachy feeling. Osaka has lots of fun places like Silver Ball Planet which has lots of pinball machines and OtaRoad has lots of interesting shops. Osaka's traffic is chaos though and the price for parking is high haha. Yamaguchi has interesting mountain country feel, and it is interesting to go to Iwakuni and visit America Douri, which has many American style restaurants and bars with lots of friendly military foreigners. I want to visit Hokkaido someday too! I heard they have igloos, which sounds fun. I like hearing about the animals like bears and salmon. I heard they have really good milk and mint. Seems like a nice wide fun place to visit someday!

Bears (we call ezohiguma. They are different from Asiatic black bears live in Honsyu.)
Salmon is so delicious,but the population be hunted is decreasing. It's a problem as serious as the one of pacific

Milk is famous,so you can enjoy something to make from milk.Icecreams are so delicious especially summer!
Mint is famous,too. Especially,Kitami city is famous for it. We sometimes call mint hakka.

Well, I think maybe lots of people know about Hokkaido having yuki kamakura, so I also hear about the place like Geopark Igloo. Seems like Hokkaido has lots of snow, I wonder if it is colder up there than it is down here in Hiroshima. I see advertisements for Hokkaido mint and ice cream everywhere, it must be really special. I am surprised you visited KitaHiroshima! I found this information with my husband one day while looking at the Wikipedia article for Hiroshima, thinking about similar named cities like HigashiHiroshima, and I found out about KitaHiroshima last year. I have been in Japan for over 2 and a half years. I love Japan very much. I can hear Japanese fairly well and can read some, but I can't speak because the grammar is hard haha. The conversations with my husband are usually that he speaks Japanese to me and I speak English back, and anything we do not understand we can type into Google or some online translator.

Ahh I was wondering what WariKura was! I found this website when trying to search for "ウォリクラ" on Google. Actually, my husband knows nothing of Warrior Cats, I am the one trying to teach him. I like to draw the pictures and watch the videos of cats, and my husband wants to know my interests better. My husband's favorite animal is cat, so I think he would be interested anyway. I think the drawings on Twitter are very cool and I am very excited to see Japanese people draw Warrior Cats!

There are some episodes of the Japanese dub of My Little Pony on YouTube (known as Tomodachi ha Mahou). The series in total is 9 seasons but I worry that all 9 seasons will never get a Japanese dub... Seasons 1-2 were dubbed by BushiRoad, and seasons 3-4 were dubbed by Disney. Disney still has the rights to dub seasons 5-6 but has done nothing so far...
